Christianity, Daddy Freeze: Addiction, Resentment, Mind’s Blackmail & Failure -By Nneka Okumazie

The mind, by itself, can use failure to blackmail an individual – into action, or inaction. The constant feeling of failed is enough to justify really strange stuff.

The common word is guilt, but mind’s blackmail seems more advanced than guilt. Guilt can be useful for change – sometimes, but blackmail can be useful for worse.

The thing that crushes the mind at any reminder, or that makes it impossible to never let go of some bad habit, almost has absolute power.

The mind can drive energy, or lethargy. The mind can make things felt, or numb. The mind can go anywhere.

The mind is affected by things around, but can also manipulate itself. The mind thrives on its fragility.

The mind can maximize or minimize failure. The choice of the mind sometimes, in situations, is beyond what the individual controls.

The mind is increasingly weakened in the era of digital, where anyone anywhere, maybe in their personal hell or haven, driven by whatever, would send something, and it gets picked up by any other mind.

The constant stream of it, adds to possible things to blackmail the mind, and no one can predict what effects it has or would, at any time, on whatever situation.

It is possible that digital really exposed the binary judgment of people, with distinct rights and wrongs, or good and bad.

This may reveal the resentment that some have with Christ, that why can’t He help? How can He be able to do it, and not do it? Or anything about Christ, they don’t want to hear.

It is possible some who don’t believe in Christ ask general questions on general care for the world, but were mainly concerned about a rough time they didn’t seem to get the help they wanted from Him.

Does it mean Christ doesn’t love because there seems to be no physical result to several prayers?

Also, do hearts of some justify why they sin, or don’t let them leave certain habits because it says the LORD didn’t answer your prayers and hasn’t, so addiction is a way out or the only thing owned, to avoid breaking down.

That blackmail of the mind, from a spiritual angle, could be greater – in some cases, than what psychology has to explain. [Galatians 5:16, [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.] [John 14:27, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.]

The mind that stokes resentment against the LORD, often forgets that GOD is a Spirit, and His followers have to walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh – or say physical.

Answers to prayers are not always physical, or immediate, or as expected, but it takes understanding in the Spirit, to accept the fact.

GOD is Superior and Supreme Sovereign and does not answer to anyone, or has to prove His power. There is enough freedom to choose, but in that freedom, the mind can do damage.

Submission to GOD is a choice, after that, Worship [or basically everything] must be in Spirit and in Truth. There is an understanding that connection to GOD is in the Spirit, and it can be useful against resentment for Him, out of ignorance, or to fall into deceit. [1 John 4:6, But we belong to GOD, and those who know GOD listen to us. If they do not belong to GOD, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of Truth or the spirit of deception.]

Science or psychology hasn’t solved deception, unknown intentions, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. As a fact, technology is a leader in mass manipulation.

Coming to JESUS isn’t deception. It brings hope, creates change, renews the mind, gives a sound mind and it is an acceptance of the mercy of the LORD. Genuine Christianity could have fixed deception for the world and other lows, but it is seen as difficult. [Zephaniah 3:5, But the LORD is still in the city; He does what is right and never what is wrong. Every morning without fail, he brings justice to His people. And yet the unrighteous people there keep on doing wrong and are not ashamed.]

It may be hard to let go of bad habits, but not impossible – with prayers and renewal of the mind. No matter how hard it is, it is important to not let the mind aggregate enough power to push into a stage of no return.

There is a list of things to consistently check for devout Christians: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
