Since the big finding by men of the Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS), talking about the involvement of owners of Amigo Supermarket, Tahir Palace Hotel and Wonderland in terrorism attack on Nigerian soil and sponsoring of the insurgent group known as Boko Haram, I have actually maintained silence on the issue up until this very moment, when I decided to make my OPINION public.

Over the years, Lebanese companies in Nigeria has been cheating, harassing, insulting and killing Nigerians and has been getting away with it. There have been endless reports from victimized Nigerians, who work as an employee of some of these Lebanese companies in the country, reports of sexual harassment, defrauding, and now terrorism added to the list.

On the 14th of January 2008, a Lebanese company locked up a dozen of their staff, Nigerians, in an oven just so they won’t leave with their bread. A couple of hours later, fire came up on the oven and there was no way for them to escape since it was locked from the outside, they all died in that fire. Relations of the victims sued the company to court over and over again, but they refused to honour all court invitations and nothing was done about it till this day.

On 21st of August 2010, a Lebanese director of a construction company, invited one of the female workers, the company cleaner, to come over to his apartment for a clean-up, on getting there, she was beaten blue black and raped. She never opened up to anyone because according to her, she doesn’t want to lose her job and she doesn’t have the resources to fight him in court.

On 3rd of January 2011, a friend of mine was invited for a job interview in a Lebanese firm here in Abuja, the position he was been interviewed on was as at then, been occupied by a Nigerian whom according to them refused to be corrupt and as a result of that, slowing down their activities in the organization and thus, needs to be changed. Though my friend needed that job so badly but refused to accept their offer.

Do you know that every Lebanese company in Nigeria installed surveillance cameras, from the security office down to the rest rooms used by their Nigerian employee? An employee comes to work only to be told that he has been sacked for no reason whatsoever and that goes whatever entitlement his due to in the company. A Nigerian employee who worked with one of the Lebanese companies for five years but never broken a damn thing in the office mistakenly broke a jug and was asked to pay NGN9, 000. These are just a few of what the Lebanese are doing to the people of this country.

The report given by men of the Joint Task Force as well as the State Security Service who by the way has been trailing these individuals ever since a plain of theirs, fully loaded with ammunition and war equipments entered the country back in 2009. These people had the FG believe that they are friend to the environment, but they are nothing but foreign trained Hezbollah faithful who have come to complete their mission of dividing Nigeria and making sure that its Islamized.

A lot of people have shared with me their opinions, both professional and personal. Some even said the Federal Government should tactically allow the Nigerian masses to storm the store, the hotel and of course Wonderland, take whatever that thrills them, in compensation to all their years of patronizing those places and what appears to be an indirect way of helping them achieve their terroristic aims. I on the other hand is suggesting that all LEBANESE in Nigeria should pack up their belongings and leave the country, every one of them. That is my candid opinion.

What is your own opinion regarding this issue?

Lebanese are in every industry in our country, whether in agriculture, construction, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, medical. There are approx. 30,000 to 40,000 Lebanese and hundreds of Lebanese companies all playing a role in our economy, and all employing hundreds of thousands of people, what do we do or what does our government do when they carry and go as you say? Will you employ those employees or will they be left jobless in an employment and poverty stricken country. These crimes that you claim is being done by Lebanese crimes are much more common and done on a much more massive scale in our Nigerian companies, so please stop talking from your niash. This is the problem with we Nigerians and why nobody wants to work with us, we used to say Ghana must go in the past and look at Ghana now and look at Nigeria now, and this is how it will continue when there are prejudiced, narrow minded illiterates such as you. So now it is Hezbollah that wants to divide Nigeria? Not USA when George Bush said he predicts the division on Nigeria by 2015. Nigerians like you are the reason why our country is suffering. It is true that there are many foreigners that are crooks but none even come close to the crookness of the American and European oil companies, these guys are the masters of thievery stealing our country’s resources. So please keep your prejudiced and narrow minded opinions to yourself or to the people who you say “agree” with you. This is a respectable website that respects all people.

Your theory is quite an interesting one i must confess. Be that as it may, do you really believe that because certain company is contributing largely to the GDP of a country’s economy (which i really don’t see in this case), is enough reason for that company to wage war on that country using Weapon of Mass Destruction or any other weapon for that matter?

If the good they bring into this country is far less than the bad they bring, then we really don’t need them.

Good opinion but some of the LEBANESE in Nigeria are good. So in my own opinion, let the bad eggs be remove from the good eggs.
