Many people from Africa have fled to India in search of a better medical care and have returned back to their home happily. One such patient was from Nigeria. Abidemi Ogbonna from Lagos, Nigeria, decided to visit a nearby hospital for a check-up as she had a severe back pain since last 3-4 days. She thought that it was a minor problem but it came as a shock to her when the doctor advised her to get an immediate Kidney Transplant.

She was referred to Apollo, New Delhi. Her family was not to stable and was worried because they had to travel to a new place for the treatment. A renowned medical tourism company held their hand in that bad time. They became a perfect guide for them. This medical tourism company made all the arrangements and even applied for the visa. The family arrived in India and was picked up from the airport. They were then accommodated in a budget-friendly guest house.

All they needed was to pay the bill, else everything was done.

The surgery took place and a team of well-experienced doctors made it successful. Ogbonna returned back to her country with a smile on her face. She was very much satisfied with the services that were provided. Ogbonna had no option than to fly to India for her treatment. The place from where she hails has no modern equipment and such knowledgeable doctors.  India was the only option for her. And she was very much satisfied.

India is progressively becoming popular with Africans looking for medicinal treatment abroad, due to its more advanced equipment, cost-efficient treatment and its exceptionally talented specialists. Ogbonna’s different alternatives were the US and the UK; however, healthcare there is extremely expensive and getting visas to those countries is a nightmare, not at all like with India, where visas are issued inside a week and treatment is comparatively cheap.
