Nigerian Election: The Saturday Summer-Slam -By Pelumi Seun Fakinlede
I just want to say my view about the Nigerian Election that will hold one Saturday because INEC can still postpone it again like they did last Saturday. Honestly postponing the election two hours to the day is not actually ideal even though it is within INEC’s constituted power to shift an election if the necessary modalities aren’t put in place but this last postponement isn’t so right as it exposed patriotic Nigerians to risk. But that is not my major concern but the survival of the fittest that will occur any moment from now. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves, this election is just between two parties and that is APC and PDP and any other candidate can wait till 2023 unless magic will happen.
During this election preparing period, I have heard the worse of all campaign promises in my life starting from the zoning of 2023 presidency to the South East when APC was talking to the Igbos and some Yorubas claiming APC will zone the 2023 elections to them and this they consider as a manifesto. And again the PDP candidate hasn’t even got into the office, he has started saying that he will sell off NNPC which is the only major organization that help the country to generate revenue through crude oil and the worse of all is that he said he will enrich his friends which many Nigerians aren’t in his circle of friends. Apart from that, he promised to make Nigeria great again.
All through this campaign, APC has not told intellectual Nigerians what they have achieved in three years and some months, only gullible Nigerians who only read the back of
It is not the first time that the president will give his citizens bad label in the international community, as a military Head of State, he said my people lack discipline and now he said Nigerian youths are lazy but I guess he is right because they are lazy to vote him out because of stipend he gives to them through what is supposed to be their right.
What I know is that on Saturday, People will vote because of the “Fear of the Unknown”
Npower : if Atiku is voted in, won’t he cancel the programme?
Religious people: won’t Buhari islamize Nigeria?
Yorubas: won’t Fulani Herdsmen finish us at his second time?
Traders: will Atiku be better and will the border be opened?
Politicians : won’t Buhari come back for us?
Youths: what chances does a young aspirant have to win?
Whichever is your fear, vote to make Nigeria better from what she was and she is now because it is going to be a SummerSlam Money in the Bank and Last man standing in the elimination chamber on Saturday….
