The Politician(s) or Who? Plot to kill Ordinary Ahmad Isah of Brekete Family.
Late James Ajibola Idowu Ige, popularly known as Bola Ige, said that he was sure that Nigeria was worth living for but he was not so sure that it was worth dying for. This was the statement he made way before his assassination on December 23, 2001. Bola Ige was murdered for his honesty and straightforwardness by enemies of truth and positive change. Till date, his killers have not been brought to book even though Obasanjo and co., know who they are.
Ordinary Ahmad Isah, the modern day Bola Ige, the voice behind the popular reality radio and television talk magazine program (Brekete Family) that has provided succor to millions of Nigerians, has turn the target. For a little over eight days now, the program has not been on air due to political and non-political forces, who strive day and night for the program to be stopped so they can continue with their uncontrolled corrupt practices.
Opinion Nigeria found out that the reason why Brekete Family has not been on air for the past eight days was; 1. The radio station, Crowder Love FM, gave ridiculous and unrealistic conditions for which the program will continue and 2. There is a serious plot to kill Ordinary Ahmad Isah.
Earlier today, at exactly 4:25pm, I had a session with Ordinary Ahmad Isah of Brekete Family, where he opened up to me on how two JEEPs roughly chased him while he was returning from a function he attended in Maitama. According to him, he thought he had escaped them after driving into the IG’s house and waited for more than one hour, refusing the security men that the IG gave to him with the hope that they have gone. On approaching the round-about by the British Council building in Maitama, the two JEEPs appeared from nowhere and began to chase him once again. It was for God’s grace that he managed to escape them without sustaining much injury.
Look around Nigeria today, even in the past, there is no program, be it government or private, that has given voice to the people like Brekete Family. There is no program that has assisted unconditionally, citizens and non-citizens of this country like Brekete Family. There is no program that has been able to say aloud, the ills in the government. It was for the sake of Brekete Family that hundreds of unjustly sacked police and military officers got their jobs back with increment in their remuneration. It was for the sake of Brekete Family that men and women, who has worked and retired for years, were able to collect their pension of 30 – 40 years. It was for Brekete Family that millions of Nigerians began to know of their true fundamental rights etc.
This is a program that has NOT ONE government agency as a sponsor yet every now and then they are brought to the program to educate Nigerians on what their roles and responsibilities are. Agencies such as Consumer Protection Council, National Human Rights Commission, Public Complaints Commission, National Blood Transfusion Services etc, were not known even though they have been into existence for ages, until Brekete Family started featuring them; why then will anyone want to kill this kind of patriotic citizen?
In 1984 in the United States of America, the people of America rose against the government because a popular human rights activist, who like Ordinary Ahmad Isah, has empowered the people, was locked up so that negativity could thrive. The big question is, will all these people who say they are members of this family, these people who has gained one or two assistance through the program, allow negativity to thrive?

@Sunny Obasi… You are definitely ignorant of the Brekete family program. Ahmad Isah is not an employee of LOVE FM. The program is only being aired through the station and duely paid for by AHMAD ISAH. On the matter of expecting such from stepping on big toes, I guess you truely are a beneficiary of sharp practices. I wonder what you are learning at Law School.

Obasi can’t be studying law at the Nigerian Law School. What with his poor tenses. It is possible his presence at the law school was facilitated through the back door, a common feature in the polity. It is also a possibility that his law school claim was championed by the like of those who are bent on suffocating Brekete Family.

the Brekete Family Reality Talkshow Programme is one programme hose effects on the lives of Nigerians have been most overwhelming. The ecstasy that greeted the return of the programme today in the Staff Bus on my way to the office was contagious. It is unimaginable that someone in this country would attempt to kill Ordinary Ahmad Isah. That goes a long way to show how deep the nation has been enmeshed in corruption. I’m however consoled by the fact that the triumph of evil over good is only temporary. Nobody can stop an idea whose idea has come. Brekete Family shall continue to succour many. Evildoers and their supporters shall meet their doom sooner than they think.

why didn’t the IG send secret policemen after him so as to see if the jeeps pursuing him can be seen and the occupants arrested, instead he let him go unprotected and without bothering to find who his pursuers are, I wonder what type of security men we have in this country are and the type of training they get. I think all brekete family members should come out and fight this injustice.
