“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”

Deuteronomy 18:22

I believe in Grace of God on people’s life and i also know that some people carry special grace. Former Presidents Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and President Buhari, i strongly believe, are some of those with Special Grace of God.

Their lives and journey through life show some divine patterns that are easy to see. Their journey through life and to the leadership of Nigeria could only have been made possible by God. What each of them did with that Grace in terms of public good and husbandry of Nigeria will be a matter for debate and differing perspectives.

How many of the Pastors and Bishops who say they hear from God didn’t see that the Buhari phenomenon is not ordinary baffles me.

They recklessly mounted 4years of campaign of hateful calumny against a man whose only sin is that Nigeria should work for all and not few. These theo-political Pastors and Bishops waged ‘spiritual war of attrition’ against him. Some said he will die before election. Some held night vigils with their hypnotised folks to pray that Jesus should kill him.

When he was sick they prayed he should never return alive. Some mocked him and his sickness a manifestation of divine punishment even when Jesus said we should love and accommodate our enemies. They turned the Gospel upside down belching with raw hate and false propaganda against Buhari.

And God brought Buhari back from the valley of death. Shouldn’t that have given them a pointer that God is with this man. Their greed blinded them. They turned the pulpits to altar of hate where false prophesies are released every Sunday. Another Bishop became a demagogue on account of Buhari. He said any Christian that votes for him will go to hell. How? Where is that in the gospel that God will send people to hell fire because of electoral choice. There is nothing spiritual about elections. God has no business with elections. It is a political decision that is personal to every citizen who can use it the way he/she wants.

They mocked God and used His name in vain to preserve their unquenching appetite for filthy lucre.

Now that Buhari has been crowned again for another 4years i sincerely hope these Bishops and Pastors will seek the face of God for forgiveness and take away the reproach they brought on Christianity they all claim to be defending.

You possibly cant defend Jesus with lies and hate. It is not Christ-like.
