Tomorrow is an expectation of the future and, it has so much uncertainty for most persons. The statement goes that, No one knows tomorrow because, tomorrow is subject to dynamic factors. For most of the young children growing up, they nurse a dream in their hearts which picture how their tomorrow will be like. The expectations for our tomorrow, most often in our minds, are always evolving with time, either with the doubt of its realization or the hopeful disposition based on signs of feasibility.

When asked of our expectations tomorrow, most persons respond in a futuristic belief, with the mind of something that is to come. The true nature of tomorrow is not obvious to most of us unless we have a visionary mind-frame. What is tomorrow really if I may ask? According to the Encarta dictionary, the definition of Tomorrow is- a future time, or the future in general with a very common example of tomorrow used thus- the leaders of tomorrow. Based on objectivity and our prevailing economies especially in Africa, tomorrow starts the very day you realise the value of your today.

Today for many of us becomes very trivial and unimportant, so much so that tomorrow is glorified with so much dignity, into a fantasy haven. We unconsciously find the need daily to run into tomorrow as a hiding place to escape the responsibility of today. We visualize the goodness of tomorrow, throwing away the efforts required today. Whenever we challenge ourselves to pick up the challenges before us today, we make our tomorrow become predictable. We are masters of time if we use it to plan our future. We become slave to time if we allow circumstances with random selection dictate what happens to us today.
When does tomorrow really start?…

Tomorrow starts today and will continue the next day into the week, month and years to come. This simply infers that tomorrow will never end. If tomorrow never ends and you keep your treasure in tomorrow, with no plans to start exploiting it today then, you are waiting in mirage for a change. When you make tomorrow start today, you are sure to explore your treasure with the consciousness of direction and focus. The idea of making today count for tomorrow is likened to two scenarios; when a man stands at one point with a red flag placed at some other distant point, his sight of the flag tells him of where he needs to be at a range dependent on the speed. A man without a flag post to aim as a destination might even become defeated with uncertainty. He is uncertain of where to go to, unsure of the need for the race and defeated by aimlessness.

Thus, when we lead our lives without a vision and dream we make the future pregnant without a baby to deliver. The vision of a future starts with a day of planning, making plans to get to witness its realization. Tomorrow never exist without a realization of today but today can stand without tomorrow’s consent. The implication of the later statement is, today matters a lot in the architecture of tomorrow. It is well for all who make a conscious effort today to change their fortune for tomorrow. With all said thus far, I wish us to understand the principle based on the consciousness of our engagements today. The fact that things today are in bad status, does not imply that all hopes of tomorrow should be lost. But, within the prevailing odds, brace up your mind and work out a plan no matter how laughable it may seem.

We are all believers of a better tomorrow, we learn to match the belief with an action plan which is the fuel that must be burnt to give up the latent energy of our vision and make it a reality tomorrow.
