Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th Assembly on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State and member of the Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Ndem Ndem, has called on all contenders to the Senate presidency seat to close ranks for Senator Godswill Akpabio.

This is as he called the senators-elect to rally support for Akpabio’s emergence tomorrow.

Ndem stated this during a chat with our correspondent in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Monday.

He described Akpabio as a rare gift to the Senate, adding that Nigeria requires “tried, tested, and proven leaders with the experience to man critical sectors at all levels of government at this critical period of her national history. “

“I, therefore, called on all other contenders to close ranks with Senator Akpabio and unite in support of his emergence as president of the Nigerian Senate in the 10th National Assembly.
