18 Players Arrive in Super Eagles Camp Ahead of Gabon World Cup Qualifier

Eighteen players have checked into the Super Eagles’ training camp in Rabat, Morocco, as Nigeria prepares for Thursday evening’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying showdown against Gabon.

The camp officially opened on Sunday, with head coach Eric Chelle leading the team’s first full training session on Monday as preparations intensified.

Team captain William Troost-Ekong, alongside Calvin Bassey and Benjamin Fredrick, led the early arrivals on the training pitch. Other key players in camp include Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Tolu Arokodare, Chidera Ejuke, Chidozie Awaziem, Olakunle Olusegun, and Stanley Nwabali.

Three additional players are expected to link up with the squad before the crucial clash with Gabon.
