Ahead of 2023 elections, a frontline politician, Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, the Presidential Candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in the 2019 election, and a presidential aspirant under the PDP platform for 2023 presidential election paid a courtesy call on the Ira PDP Ward and Women executives during the Easter celebration at her home town in Ira, Kwara, Nigeria.

She then as well paid another courtesy on the state PDP Chairman of Kwara state, Alhaji Babatunde Mohammed in Ilorin, Kwara state, said her intention for the interaction is to affirm, “Politics must be everybody’s business and venture against 2022/2023 elections in the country, especially as card carrier members of parties,” as she collects her new PDP I.D Card in addition to her Voter’s card.

In her message to the women executives, she said, “Women must not only be ready to play their parts as catalysts to wake up the giants as helpmates that the Almighty God has created them to be, but they must be willing to also fully participate in politics as humans as their constitutional right and duty in order to fully achieve the 35 percentage affirmative action of gender equality/ parity towards the UN- millennium and sustainable development goals.”

Speaking with the state Execo, she reminded them that, “Politics is always first a matter of grassroot full participation as well known, and every one must be ready to do their best and contribute their quota according to their different positions and roles toward a successful transition to the PDP government come 2023, especially at the presidential level.”

Similarly admonishing the State Chairman, during her personal courtesy call to the state secretariat, she expressed satisfaction on his commitment to his duty so far, reminding him however, that “Result is the game as PDP should be made to come to the rescue of the nation in 2023″ without any room for faliure. We must be reminded Nigerians are already so fed up with the APC-Buhari led administration and we have only two major parties in Nigeria in practical terms – APC and PDP”, she added.

In his remarks, Alhaji Babatunde Mohammed, the state chairman replied, “We are determined to go and retake our mandates at all levels,” He thanked the front line female politicians, activist and academic- linquist for her continuous handwork and dynamism.
