2023 Presidency: I’m set to take over from Buhari as next President of Nigeria, says PDP Aspirant Adesanya-Davies
The first effort should be geared towards wining this forth coming 2023 presidential election at all cost by zoning the ticket to Nigerian populace and not to PDP as a party or to an individual as a candidate. This is because if, “They-WIN You-WIN.” If NIGERIANS-Win, We-Win in PDP.

We Nigerians Will Never Repeat The Same Mistake Of 2015 ooo! —Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies
As a reply to an article published 13 hours ago, March 23, 2022 by Sani Abdullahi in Opinion Nigeria, asking, “Are We Repeating The Same Mistake Of 2015?”
Adesanya-Davies replies,” Haba! Abdullahi, “We Nigerians Will Never Repeat The Same Mistake Of 2015 again ooo!” —Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies”
In fact, in 2023: I’m set to take over from Buhari as next President of Nigeria, says PDP Aspirant Adesanya-Davies.
YES, as you have rightly elucidate the matter, “The 2023’s election is fast approaching and the electoral body is preparing, parties are strategizing, candidates are canvassing for overwhelming support from the electorates. Elections are an integral part of democracy. It gives the citizens the power to choose a person or party who will lead the country. It provides an opportunity for the citizens to choose a leader who will bring development and growth in the country. 2015 was a turning point in the history of Nigerian democracy. It was a period in which opposition party APC clinched the presidential position, courtesy of support and financial contribution given by the Nigerian masses unfortunately is tenure that will not be forgetting by the masses.
It’s true, “The tenure of Muhammad Buhari will end in 2023 and the hopes, yearnings of Nigerians will remains disheartening, because if you are to look at the average Nigerian citizens and assess the current administration you will definitely rate this government poor in all sphere of life. Back to 2015 when APC and was going nooks and crannies of Nigeria to solicit for votes from Nigerians they made several promises which up to today they fail to fulfill it.
Obviously, “The inability of the current administration to fulfill the promises made during campaign tours is enough for Nigerians to looks beyond party politics and chooses a candidate based on his credibility, achievement and outstanding qualities. 2015 is enough to be a lesson for some of us, we contributed our money and spent our time but we got nothing in return.
The need for the Nigerians to evaluate the achievements of the current administration in Nigeria through the lens of the economy and security is urgent so that they will determine whether APC led government is on right track or not. In the last seven years the price of food items e.g rice which was sold 8000 to 9000 naira today the price has triple and the price is 27000 to 30000 naira and this applied to all commodities.
Considering the increasing prices of food commodities, Nigerian government’s decision to close the land borders may have been considered something done in the interest of the country for improving agricultural production and it has not yielded any positive result created more hardship to Nigerian masses.
Morever, the educational system of the country is decaying day by day from the basic level to higher level, government gives less priority and allocate insignificant amount of money to the sector. Today Nigerian Universities are closed due to the insensitivity of current administration, instead of government to listen to them, negotiate and find lasting solution to lingering crisis in the universities but government is now busy preparing for convention which is secondary assignment while neglecting their primary responsibilities.
As regards petroleum products, Fuel scarcity disturbed everybody in the country, collapse of the national grid and high rates of insecurity in the country, today Boko haram and Bandits tomorrow is IPOB, people are not secured. As such, “We have seen them (APC) now and they are not different from the then ousted PDP, therefore Nigerians should get their PVC, prepare to oust the current APC government from the power.”
Adesanya-Davies added, If we as Nigerians don’t know where we are going to, at least we know where we are coming from. She concurs “PDP is the Only Option in saving Nigeria” as expressed last week by former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
In a report by Omon Okhuevbie On Mar 21, 2022, “Former Senate President, Olubukola Saraki, has stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the only option to rescue Nigeria from its current issues.
Saraki disclosed this while speaking during a visit to the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, with the governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, present at the meeting.
He said, “Looking at what is currently happening in the country, our concern is the hardship the people of the country are going through, the cost of living and also looking ahead towards 2023.
“Our concern is that, it is very clear that PDP is the only viable option to rescue this country and to provide new hope and as such, as key stakeholders of this party, we feel the need to sit down and see how best we can give leadership and direction.
“We believe our role is to make things easier for us, to have stability because if there is stability in PDP, there will be stability in Nigeria. We have all seen that APC is no longer a party, it is having challenges of administering it’s party and anybody that cannot administer right, cannot administer the country, so the only left for Nigerians is PDP. We believe because of that level of responsibility, we must bury our personal ambition.”
“However, another Nigerian political commentator says, “anyone that represents the same old order that has failed woefully or is in fact an embodiment of all that is wrong with our old, corrupt and megalomanic political leadership will need to step aside.”
Adding that, “We need leaders who would bring new ideas, values and approach to governance. We don’t need an individual with desperation for personal fulfillment and self-aggrandisement, fueled by the superstitious believe in the predictions of marabouts.
Although PDP stands the chance of beating APC in 2023 presidential elections, but they need to give Nigeria the actual CHANGE THAT WE NEED. They should come up with a Presidential Candidate that is fresh, not controversial and capable of uniting and turning around the affairs of Nigeria.
Hope the vulnerable APC will not win again this time with a wider margin, if such a candidate is all that PDP has to offer,” says the commentator.
In another development, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has said the South may be unable to win the 2023 election for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Tambuwal says, “Southern Presidential Candidate May Find It Difficult To Win Presidency For PDP.”
“Speaking, on Tuesday, during a Consultative meeting with former principal officers of the National Assembly in Abuja, Tambuwal said, “you cannot zone what you don’t have”. He, therefore, advised the leadership of the PDP and other stakeholders to first win the election before zoning it.
He urged the party to be strategic, saying that the All Progressives Congress (APC) took their presidential candidate to Katsina state in 2015 even when the Late Umaru Musa Yar’adua who was in office was also from Katsina. Tambuwal tasked the party to concentrate on how to win the election, than zoning of offices.
Again, as in agreement with Saraki, Adesanya-Davies in agreement with Tambuwal also warns PDP needs to FIRST win the election before zoning it, because you definitely cannot zone what you don’t have.
The frontline female presidential aspirant and Kwara-born IRA Princess,
Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, Presidential Candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in the 2019 election; and the only Amazon in the 2023 Presidential race on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) hails Tambuwal, and Saraki for their brainstorming says, “she is so proud of them both, as PDP needs to urgently unitedly rescue Nigeria from the debris caused by APC. So help us God!”
Nevertheless, she reminds and enjoys it would be good to give woman a chance after over 60 years of men-rule and mids-rule in Nigeria since independence.
She calls on the women as well as all Nigerians to vote for her as President in 2023 if she wins the PDP primary; stating that she has the vision, mission, dream, knowledge and capacity to reshape Nigeria with a feminine touch in grand style and lead the country to social, economic and political advancement and stability through her PMA ADVANCED RESTRUCTURING AGENDA.
