2Baba Debunks London Arrest Rumour, Explains Missed Show Was Due to Health Emergency
Nigerian singer 2Baba has denied reports of his arrest in London, clarifying that his missed UK show on October 2, 2025, was caused by a sudden health emergency. He thanked fans for their support and promised rescheduled performances.
Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has dismissed viral claims that he was arrested in London over an alleged altercation with his wife, Natasha Idibia.
The award-winning singer, in a video shared on social media, explained that his absence from a scheduled UK tour stop on October 2, 2025, was due to a sudden medical emergency and not domestic issues as speculated.
“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen,” he said.
Addressing the false reports, 2Baba criticised the spread of unverified information, urging people to confirm facts before publishing.
He added: “If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire.”
In an Instagram post, the singer also thanked fans who showed up at the concert despite his absence and assured them of rescheduled performances.
