ADC Urges Tinubu to Ensure Transparency in Security Fund Spending
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has advised President Bola Tinubu to create a transparent mechanism for tracking and auditing federal security funds, strengthen joint deployments, and engage directly with communities affected by insecurity.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to establish a transparent system for tracking and auditing how federal security funds are used.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party made the appeal while reacting to Tinubu’s recent visit to Plateau State and his remarks at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Jos.
The ADC also urged the president to strengthen security coordination through joint deployments of the military and police, with active participation of local and state security networks.
The party further advised Tinubu to commit to regular public updates on security incidents and outcomes, stressing that such accountability is essential in addressing the nation’s security challenges.
Highlighting the crises in Plateau, Zamfara, Benue, Niger, Kaduna, and Kwara, the ADC encouraged Tinubu to engage directly with affected states, local governments, and communities, urging him to “listen to their stories and ask for ideas.”
