Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF) declares, “… As part of NWTF’s strategic focus, we will continue to be part of processes to facilitate an enabling environment for women’s leadership and increased representation in governance. Our engagements will therefore include advocacy visits, engagement with political parties, taking opportunities to present in public to share the position of the NWTF and gain wide support (other CSOs, influencers, private sector players etc.) for the position of NWTF in closing the gender gaps.

In addition, we will periodically organise key stakeholders’ meetings with CSOs, media, government, corporate organizations to share key advocacy messages and vision of NWTF and build partnerships.

Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies hails Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF) for all their projects especially the current plan to organise the Up Coming “2022 Women Aspirant Summit” slated for 29th March 2022 at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja with the timely and energising theme: “Working Together for a Democratic Nigeria.” She says, “It’s a good step in right direction for the Nigerian women to leap forward, and it’s time for giant strides in the achievement of a truly Democratic Nigeria.”

She similarly congratulates Nigerian Women Trust Fund for their drive to insist on the demands made for the position of the Nigerian women at the National Assembly on these five issues:

1. 111 seats for women
2. Women indigenship
3. Women Citizenship
4. 35% in party leadership
5. More appointive position.

She further states, “I believe that very soon our results would be evident, as women folk in Nigeria refuse to rest on their oasis nor relent in their efforts, we shall surely achieve my dream when I wrote the poem titled:

Welcome To A New Nigeria!

Welcome to a new Nigeria
Is the song of every Nigerian
As I awake to a new morning,
It’s in my house well built and a well mowed lawn
In a good vicinity and a great neighbourhood
Where I live in peace, and there is hardly any noise
This is the simple dream of every Nigerian

Welcome to a new Nigeria
Is the song of every Nigerian
As I awake to a new morning,
With a tap on the switch, the light turns on
With a turn on the tap, the water runs on,
Where I dwell in peace, and there is hardly any stress
This is the simple dream of every Nigerian

Welcome to a new Nigeria
Is the song of every Nigerian
As I awake to a new morning
As I got on the road the car drives on
As I head for my work, the road is good without bumps,
Without any traffic jam, we all move on
Where I move in peace, and there is hardly any shouts
This is the simple dream of every Nigerian

Welcome to a new Nigeria
Is the song of every Nigerian
As I awake to a new morning,
There is place to work, and earn a living
Either an office or a place of my own, with a cab or a bus
Where I work in peace, and there is hardly any fight
This is the simple dream of every Nigerian

Welcome to a new Nigeria
Is the song of every Nigerian
As I awake to a new morning,
Let there be food to eat, so I stay alive
In addition to the starch, some fruits and veggies
Where I reside in peace, and there is hardly any sick
This is the simple dream of every Nigerian

Welcome to a new Nigeria
Is the song of every Nigerian
As I awake to a new morning,
Let there be air to breath, so I stay lively
Places to stroll and good places to visit
Where I dwell in peace, and there is hardly any stress
This is the simple dream of every Nigerian

The frontline female presidential aspirant and Kwara-born IRA Princess, Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, Presidential Candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in the 2019 election; is the only Amazon in the 2023 Presidential race on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and she enjoins all Nigerian women to ARISE! So help us God!

She in the same vein advises all the men it would be good to give woman a chance after over 60 years of men-rule in Nigeria since independence.

Adesanya-Davies says, “All the women as well as all Nigerians should vote for her as President in 2023, if she wins the PDP primary; stating that she has the vision, mission, dream, knowledge and capacity to reshape Nigeria with a feminine touch in grand style and lead the country to social, economic and political advancement and stability through her PMA ADVANCED RESTRUCTURING AGENDA.”
