Africa And The Issue Of Having Not A Guide Of Itself -By Abdulrahman Yunusa
Africa has the full potentialities of moving itself forward but the worthless idea of dependency and copy and past mentality they have been borrowing from the white countries is what have been serving as a blockage to it development and prosperity.
When it comes to saying, Nigerian politicians are the best of their kind. But when it comes to the area of action, their attitude is very nauseating. And it’s not our natural habit rather we have been psychologically nurtured to behave that way by those wise white folks in the name of leadership mentorship.
Perhaps, They deliberately instill the idea of being theoretically sophisticated but practically incapacitated. They still the idea from us, take it to their infertile lands change things in it and make something that will gain them huge profit to them when they channel it to our countries.
Sadly, We are not but only a countries that produce them raw materials and at the end take some part of what we gave them in a high cost price not knowing if we have the machines we can do better than them in some instances.
Sincerely talk, Until we mind to ponder much on our ideas and raw primary products and find a solution to which we can have a machines to process them effectively, then we would ever be underdeveloped. Many scholars have talked extensively on that particular sensitive matter to which the famous Samir Amin, Ander Gunder frank, Fanon, Amicar Cabral, and even the staunch critic of developmental ideas and theories Walters Rodney are part of.
Those giant figures have the extraordinary love spirit when it comes to African fight with its subjugators. They fought the western beast harshly with their intellectual contributions to revive the integrity of African continent in the eyes of the world, and they further extended their patriotic journey towards the end tale where they were seen as somehow terrorist in the sight of capitalist world.
Also, Lacking self reliance is what we must be suffering from and it will keep dragging us down to the lesser position in all that we do in this world. For its obvious there are lots of countries who are more miser than us but the moment they realize their lapses, they suggested an everlasting solution to them. So why not us !
Furthermore, Having industries will tremendously help in applying our ideas in to proper channels, it would make us more independent than we are currently and it would make us look competitive entity in the eyes of the rest of the world.
Most annoyingly, they childishly cajole us to focus more on development than growth despite knowing its not what we need the most at this moment of life bitterness. They wickedly assist our leaders to invest in infrastructures things that won’t makes our lives better rather it would pave a way to the beast politicians to plunder our economy at it sake.
After all, they viciously incite our leaders to copy their policies which are not compatible to our current situations. They ask our leaders to imitate them on health and economy despite knowing our problems are not tantamount to theirs. But they didn’t do this uphead rather they have something behind to achieve. And they fail to let us copy them educationally, see paradox here.
To their thoughts when they allow us do good within our poor but naturally endowed domains we should definitely succeed and thrive, and when keep moving forward we wouldn’t need anything from them and we shall compete with them in the International arena. So for that filmsy excuse, they choose to be fooling our leaders with unproductive policies.
Africa must wake up from it deadly slumber about development, the hard way, the only possible way. Relying solely on the west and it wicked allies won’t help us in any way rather it would makes more vulnerable to them.
Africa will soon stand on it own !
