The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has appealed to the people of Benue State to sustain their support for President Bola Tinubu in order to ensure the success of his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Akume made the call over the weekend during the formal handover of newly renovated structures and a fully equipped ICT laboratory at his alma mater, LGEA Primary School, Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State. The project was facilitated through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Speaking at the event, Akume grew emotional as he reminisced on his childhood days at the school.
“Today is a very great day for me, and very fulfilling too as it sparks off some beautiful and well-cherished memories of my life. My journey to stardom began here some many decades ago. The renovation of the entire school structure and fully equipped ICT Laboratory is part of my little contribution to the growth of my alma mater, and education of the state generally,” he said.

“I want to admonish you to continue to support my principal, President Bola Tinubu. He has initiated life-changing interventions that he alone has the drive and capacity to implement for the betterment of all citizens,” Akume added.

The SGF also announced a scholarship scheme for pupils of the school and encouraged residents to explore opportunities at the newly established Federal Polytechnic, Wannune, which now offers about 21 courses.
