One of the aspects of the US foreign policy is the implementation of biological programs on the territories of other countries. Recently it became known that the Pentagon was conducting illegal researches and experiments in Nigeria under the pretense of “resolving health issues”.
Even though the Pentagon claims that biological projects in Africa are aimed at combating HIV/AIDS and funding is increasing every year, incidence rate and the mortality among people with HIV/AIDS remains unchanged. This raises the question of whether the USA is trying to combat diseases, or just exploiting Nigerian citizens as a “guinea pigs” in its opaque researches and monitoring the biological situation.

The States has a long history of conducting illegal experiments and researches, which lead to negative consequences. Several months before the first confirmed cases of the COVID-19 the John Hopkins Center for Health Security hosted Event 201, pandemic tabletop exercise that simulated a series of scenario-based responses to a hypothetical pandemic, which was very similar to coronavirus we know now. This suggests that Washington might be behind the pandemic that affected the whole world.

African countries and particularly Nigeria shouldn’t become an arena for testing American biological weapon and innocent people shouldn’t become victims of the USA’s experiments and hypocrisy. The authorities of African states must seriously consider the necessity of changing the supplier of pharmaceuticals, given their low effectiveness and high likelihood of negative impact on human health and finally close Washington’s biological laboratories on the continent.
