Richard Mofe has come under fire from Ossai Success, a former Delta State governor’s adviser, for his 2024 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards costume.

Remember how RMD and Idowu Philips, better known as Iya Rainbow, were honored with the Industry Merit Awards? The celebrities wore a variety of glitzy outfits that represented their cultures or a bohemian aesthetic at the recently ended AMVCA.

He claimed that RMD dressed in Yoruba and did not, on the international scene, represent Urhobo culture. “Considering that he is an Urhobo man from Delta State, Uncle RMD messed up by not dressing in Urhobo costume for the AMVCA 2024.

“I appreciate his creativity, but this attire is not fitting for an Urhobo man. He should showcase the rich Urhobo culture, especially on a global stage like this.

“I am disappointed. Anyway, congratulations to him for winning the AMVCA 2024 award.”
