The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election, Jude Ezenwafor, has expressed his readiness to collaborate with Governor Chukwuma Soludo in advancing the state’s development initiatives.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Ezenwafor said his relationship with Governor Soludo extends beyond politics, noting that they have enjoyed a cordial friendship and professional association for years. He explained that cooperation, rather than rivalry, was the best way to serve the people of Anambra.

“I have known Professor Soludo for a long time. Our relationship predates politics. Even when I served as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano, I encouraged him to participate actively in Anambra’s leadership,” Ezenwafor said.

He added that his political actions have always been driven by the desire to see Anambra progress, not by partisan considerations.

Acknowledging that no administration is perfect, the PDP candidate commended the state government’s efforts to tackle security challenges and urged Governor Soludo to strengthen coordination among security agencies and community leaders to ensure lasting peace.

Ezenwafor also emphasized the importance of inclusive governance, advising the Soludo administration to continue engaging diverse political voices to promote unity and development.

“With the elections over, governance should now take center stage,” he said. “When political leaders work together toward shared goals, the people of Anambra benefit the most.”
