August Day 2 protest: Police teargas peaceful protesters in Berger roundabout, Abuja

On Friday morning, a group of demonstrators near the Berger bridge in Abuja were forcibly dispersed by a squad of fully armed Nigerian Police officers.

There were some onlookers and surprised drivers who could be heard accusing the cops of being overbearing.

An earlier injunction to restrict protestors to the MKO Abiola National Stadium was granted by an Abuja high court.
