Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative Launches Infrastructure, Holds Automotive Industry Award

The launch of the automotive facility will coincide with the Special Automotive Industry Award that will be graced by distinguished Nigerians including Governor Babajide Sanwolu-Olu of Lagos State, Jelani Aliyu, Director General of NADDC and Alhaji Abdullahi Rano, Chairman of Rano Nigeria Limited who will double as the chief launcher.

The Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative will on December 14th launch the infrastructure for the West Africa Automotive Institute in Lagos.

The event which is scheduled to hold at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja Lagos will coincide with the presentation of the special Automotive Industry Awards to distinguished Nigerians and any organizations that have made indelible marks in the automotive industry in the country.

According to the President of Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative, Mr. Samuel Oloyede Oriowo, the West Africa Automotive Institute will be an upscale shop specializing in a potpourri of top-notch competency solutions.

He said the facility will serve as a center for quality automotive training for young people in the West African sub-region as well as a regional hub for training young school leavers and enriching their lives with the most qualitative skills in their chosen fields.

Oriowo further explained that the Institute will support access to quality automobile maintenance and servicing through the establishment of bridges that would facilitate increased trust, communication, and collaboration between trainees, high-net-worth individuals, and client institutions.
According to him, Halls and other facilities donated will be named after the donors and sponsors, while designs of the infrastructure and cost will be made available on request.

Companies expected to be recognized at the award ceremony include Total Energies Limited, OVH Energy Marketing Limited, and Sea Horse Lubricant Manufacturing Company Limited amongst others.
In what promises to be a high-octane event, Innoson Motors will be recognized as the Indigenous Automobile Manufacturer of the Year, while GAC Motors will be awarded the Automobile Brand of the Year.
