Yes. I know I should have waited until the night before the next season’s UCL final, but as someone who loves to break shocking, electrifying and jaw-dropping news, particularly when it concerns something I support for, I felt I should drop it. At least, as a warning siren: FC Barcelona is coming! 

 I know you must have seen it. Even though you may willingly choose to keep it under wraps. Barça’s attacking queue, as a fan of any big club in Europe, is something that should ignite your worries. 

Let’s forget about the age of Robert Lewandowski, currently in world football, the Polish international is not just a striker; he is a player who has the capacity of moving a team’s defence to shambles. A goal machine, and inarguably one of best strikers_if not the best_ in the world. 

Should we talk about the current form of Osmane Dembele ? I know you would say that the guy used to spend the better part of his season in the hospital, but trust me now, ever since Dembele got married, he seldomly suffers any serious headache. He is now the version of Dembele Barca has been craving to see. Owing to his ambidexterity he can perfectly and threateningly handle both the right and the left flank of our counter attack. 

And here comes again another gem, a galactico and a deadly finisher: Raphina. The arrival of the Brazilian will add a huge value to Xavi’s project. Just like Dembele, Raphina has the tendency to frustrate, shake and frighten any defense. What about our new talisman and jersey number 10, Ansu Fati. Aside from Phil Foden of Man City, Fati is the most clinical young lad that I have ever watched.   

Now, with Raphina, Dembele, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati plus Ferran Torres and Abumayang, Barca would not have a great attacking stamina, they will also look furiously dangerous at the counter attack. You are now shivering right? Don’t worry! Take a chill pill. We won’t thrash your team to humiliation, we have some sense of respect. 

I won’t talk about the midfield, you and I know how Barca has been incredible and extraordinary in terms of midfield. Our Defence right ? Okay. Let me answer your question. Have you heard about Jules Kounde, the super center-back of Sevila ? He also joined the Blaugranas. Christensen is also available as a backup. Pairing Kounde and Araujo will not only transform our defense from porous to solid, it will also turn it to a rock. 

This summer transfer is creditable to Barca. Joan Laporta is an amazing administrative acumen. Despite the club’s whooping debt, he still manages to sign world class players. With this transfer, Barca is coming back to claim their about-lost position, name and status in Europe. Get that.
