Be Your Own Inspiration -By Sunday T. Saheed

No matter how small or big an aim of yours is, never wait for others to applaud or praise you before you continue and move on to guarantee its succession. Be your own muse. Be the reason for your success. Be the reason you continue to move forward. Don’t wait for anyone to be it!

It might look fallacious if I say my exam experience is older than me. Nevertheless, that doesn’t matter, what matters is how I show it largely well with my words and outputs. In my exposure, many things deter the achievements people are attaining, but one of the prominent ones is an inspiration.
Most people are unknowingly feeding their goals with scrawny and scraggy junks. They have reconstructed their minds to believe that unless they are being praised, they have never done well enough. Wrong! Until what you are, have been revealed to humans, you will never know how to do it well or right in their presence. First, they ignore you when you start. Then, they laugh at you. Then they abuse you, feeding you with obloquy that brings in ignominy. Then later, they applaud you, that’s a success!

No matter how small or big an aim of yours is, never wait for others to applaud or praise you before you continue and move on to guarantee its succession. Be your own muse. Be the reason for your success. Be the reason you continue to move forward. Don’t wait for anyone to be it!

The more you wait for people’s applause and praises, the more you begin to join people who wish it happens. In life, there are three major categories of humans, “Those that want it to happen, those who try to make it happen, and those who make it happen. “Now read this, again and again, to give a response to yourself when you find out the category you fall into.
Of course, we need the motivation to keep us going, but we should be reasonable and don’t let it hinder our movement. See yourself as a car with a tank that is half-full. People’s motivation is a keg of gas that can fill up the car. With or without the people’s motivation, you can still get moving because of your self-inspiration. But if you continue to wait for people’s gas without using your own gas, your movement from the place you are is greatly under probability. We can only assume that your dream’s outspokenness won’t be replaced with taciturnity.

Parents should teach their children, teachers should teach their students, leaders should teach their followers that motivation, praises, and applauses they don’t get from other people shouldn’t let them down, it should only make them fasten their belts and try hard!

You, yes you! You are apparently laughing because everything you have done has been applauded. I can only give you friendly advice to stop. It’s better you stop before reality hits you hard, and starts to take pungent cuts from your wounds. Nothing can stay with you forever, except for you. Not even your shadow, not your parents, bot your friends, not your mentors, not your teachers. None! No matter at what length they follow you, they’ll finally leave you to you. When they leave, the only person that’ll remain for you then will be you. Then, we’ll know who is supposed to laugh at who.

Once you start ruminating on an idea, no matter how people turn it down. Be your own motivation and your source of inspiration. Keep on reminding yourself of the four words, “I AM MY INSPIRATION”.
