So long as you are a Nigerian or African by virtue of birth yet residing there, you don’t need to be told that speaking against injustice and oppression in the face of power mongers is one of the toughest task and the most daring journey for a one to engage in. Because those monsters with the decorated regalia of leadership attach to their horrible body are hard to try on the basis of power.

The horrific account of some prominent activist in Nigeria is not far from us for we in the era of digital world where the whole world became a global village. The likes of Kin Saro Wiwa, Dele Giwa and the rest is enough to send us a perturb signal in our psyche while trying hard to venture ourselves in to this murky affairs of criticism.

When you have family to look for in your life, being a critic is not your profession, more especially in a toxic society as ours where leaders go mad to an extent that they can afford to get rid of you the more you move to touch their power even if you are on the right lane.

The asylum seeker Ja’afar Ja’afar and the Dadiyata of unknown whereabout saga should serve as lessons to all of us ( Emerging critics ) because both of them have family to look after, yet they lost their sight to the most precious gift of nature ” Family ” under the basis of being critics to tyrants.

But that doesn’t have to bother you, because what do you expect from a powerful with with dearth of good upbringing, what do you expect from those that has a question on morality to answer and what do you anticipate from those who worship their evil wishes over everything ? I think there is nothing good you expect from them, then such horrible acts are nothing worth regretting in their sight, beware of them.

And all they deliberately fail to know is that, this world is just a temporary apartment for us, and we should be asked of whatever we have done there after we die and we must be judge accordingly by our creature thereby everyone receive his portion of reward based on his deeds. Good home for good actions doers, bad for bad actions doers.

Moreover, they should be reminded that “power endure with justice even in the hand of unbeliever and it collapse with injustice even in the hand of a believer ” meanwhile, they should all be cautious of their moves as while being a leaders for power corrupt dastardly. Being kind and generous pays today, tomorrow and always, for in Rumi’s voice what you have lost to others come around in another form, I believe.

However, how I wish, someday, those people that enjoyed the bed of tyranny would find a tiny size of pity in their hearts which will whisper their ears an idea to console with those they oppressed and seek their forgiveness, though only few lucky ones tend to do away with their egoistic and huffish feelings and politely seek people pardon.

May we not be a victims of injustice for standing against injustice and tyranny in our societies.
