Birthdate Boy Diary: My Tragicomedy Learning Period During the Covid-19 Era -By Oluwatoyin Hawal Momolosho

Another thing I discovered was that the threat of extinction can unite people. You might notice that every religious group, including Christians, Muslims, Traditionalists, Hindus, Satanists, and Jews, has a common enemy against which they can unite in prayer. People used to be able to show indifference to one another before the COVID-19 era, but COVID-19 simply explained that we are all one.

COVID-19 is a dangerous virus that has claimed many lives around the world in the short time since it was discovered.

It is no longer news that in order to prevent the spread of this disease, we must follow certain guidelines, such as avoiding overcrowding, washing our hands with soap and water, wearing a nose mask to limit or prevent exposure to the deadly virus particles in the air, avoiding physical contact with people, and maintaining good personal hygiene or health.

In fact, everyone had to turn into a neat freak in some way. Even my buddies who were notorious for delegating room cleaning to their various girlfriends had to cut relations with them for fear of losing their lives as a result of their tardiness and laziness. I would have claimed that these were my pals who knew how to sweep, let alone have a clean toilet or kitchen. It’s amazing how circumstances can make someone responsible.

Things were changing so quickly that I was almost unable to keep up. If there was ever a time when individuals should learn from their mistakes, I believe this was it.

One thing I learned during the COVID-19 era is that the world can be threatened at any time, and any country’s activity can come to a halt. No one will be able to work, visit friends, attend religious services, attend parties, or enjoy even the tiniest amount of fun. Only television shows, the internet, and friends we’ve made over the years who have decided to stay in touch will provide us with solace.

To emphasize this argument, I would add that the only time we feel alive is when we hear from someone who cares about us or someone we care about. Individuals who actually care about us, on the other hand, aren’t people we care about. Yet, in addition to the voices of our family, the sounds of our pets, and the sound of an electrical generator, we get to hear the voice of another human.

Furthermore, if you do not have any savings, the Covid 19 era will almost certainly cause you to die, not from the virus, but from hunger and loneliness. When people say you should save for the future, I used to think the only reason was to be able to buy properties, but that saving habit is also for times like this when you can’t work or get paid. Thousands of people perished of starvation during the intense wave of the epidemic until the government decided to share palliative to improve people’s survival.

A lot of people possibly feel their salary isn’t enough for them consequently can not afford to save. Saving requires sacrifice and discipline. We won’t be able to save even if we wait till we have a higher wage. This is due to the fact that as your income rises, so do your desires. When your salary rises, so does your list. I feel that if the majority of people had saved money, more people would have survived. As a result of the pandemic, I decided to cultivate a saving mindset. Who knows, my income could be the difference between life and death if another outbreak occurs.

To summarize, COVID-19 is a disease that affects people of many nationalities, religions, and backgrounds. The rich and the poor were both impacted. And, if you ask me, COVID-19 shown to us that we are all equal. We may be from different social classes, but we all share the same humanity. COVID-19 may have done more harm than good, yet there were some moral lessons to be learned.

Take care of yourself and everything will be fine.

I really appreciate for your birthday wish. Thank you, ma.
