The Rivers State House of Assembly has announced plans to initiate impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
The lawmakers disclosed this during a press briefing held on Friday, stating that the process would be carried out in line with constitutional provisions.
They maintained that the proposed impeachment is lawful and cautioned against interpreting the action against Governor Fubara as being driven by ethnic considerations.
