As nationwide protests against hardship and hunger reach their peak, youths are demanding that the government revert it decision on fuel subsidy and Dollar to make life easier for the citizens. Major cities like Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, and FCT are at the forefront of the protests. In Kano State, the protests have taught valuable lessons for creating change. As one of the most populated states in the country, Kano hunger protest has revealed a deeper crisis that needs to be addressed to avoid losing its great  reputation ‘Kanon Dabo’
The proliferation of teenagers engaging in thuggery activities in Kano is a pressing concern that cannot be taken lightly and is part of the hard lessons. The recent hunger protests in Kano Undoubtedly highlighted the alarming trend of underage individuals being arrested for such activities. The government must take immediate measures to address this issue and provide alternative pathways to deter it through Education and Provide Job opportunities for the young ones to be self reliance. Failure to do so may hinder the state’s development and lead to its decline into a slum area.
This responsibility extends beyond the government but also include wealthy individuals, who must assume their corporate social responsibility by supporting their neighbors and families who cannot afford education fees. This can be achieved by sponsoring and paying for their education to make their future better instead of focusing on the lives of their belong children. This aims  not only to   favor  them but effort to avert what this French Philosopher and writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau wrote  “When the people have nothing left to eat, they will eat the rich”
In any development media are not left out, the media plays a crucial role being the fourth real estate of government . Therefore, media experts and practitioners must develop and broadcast programs on radio and TV that discourage thuggery activities in the state . Social media influencers in the state must also be engaged to utilize their platforms in highlighting the negative effects of such activities on our youth in Kano. This collaborative effort can help mitigate the issue and make our state a safer place.
Though, Some of these  lessons can be seen as a great threat to the development of Kano State, but, taken necessary  actions to tackled them is imperative to the  development of Kano ,We all witnessed a bad attitudes showcased during the protest in the city of Kano State led  to the looting of properties owned by citizens and the government which  results the lost of huge amount of money. This indicates a serious problem resulting from illiteracy and a lack of job opportunities. Sadly, the negligence of the government in the state has also contributed in the state to experience a high rate of thugs and unemployed youths.
As indigenes of Kano State, we need to join hands to prevent losing the great reputation of our state. However, traditional rulers, religious leaders, political leaders, Educationists, and the Media Personnel must come together to ensure a brighter future for young generations in Kano. The protests have confirmed the threats Kano youths face, requiring special attention from the all aforementioned individuals in the state.
However ,the political rivalry between Kwankwaso and Ganduje has become a significant challenge for Kano State. The separation of these two political leaders has led to a divide among their supporters, causing tension and conflict in the state when any  issues  arises. This range from the use of powerful words in  exchanging words in political conversations has motivated youth to hate each other, creating a toxic environment Example, recently we are seeing how this attitude has now begun to emulated by their followers including Alasan Ado Doguwa and Abdulmuminu Jibrin Kofa.
To address this issue, I strongly advise and call on Kwankwaso and Ganduje to use language that promotes understanding and respect among their supporters. It is essential for political leaders to prioritize the well-being of the state and its citizens over their personal interests.
On the other hand ,recent Kano Emirate controversy has sparked a storm of debate, threatening to destabilize the peace in Kano State if not addressed and managed properly. The two Emirs, who hails from the same Family, should strive to maintain harmony and allow peace to prevail in the state. They must not permit political differences and Politician to drive a wedge between them, given their shared heritage. It is imperative to the actors between Kwankwaso and Ganduje to prioritize  peace and tranquility of our beloved State . This  Emirship tussle is not beyond your ability to handle and manage, we as the citizens of Kano State ,we call on you as Elders and Leaders as matter of urgency to addressed and managed this issues with Upmost care ,I’m confident, if Ganduje  who appointed Aminu Ado can plea Aminu Ado Bayero Will accept the defeat and allow the Governor Abba appointee to lead. The people of Kano State deserve a peaceful and prosperous environment, where political differences do not lead to violence and hatred. By working together and finding common ground, Kwankwaso and Ganduje can help create a brighter future for Kano People.
Furthermore, to address the emirship tussle, the Sokoto Caliphate, under the leadership of the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’adu Abubakar, which the Kano Emirate is under the Usman Danfodio Caliphate, should organize a high-powered delegation comprising esteemed and  distinguish individuals, including wealthy entrepreneurs, religious leaders, and respected figures in the state. Such individuals could include Aliko Dangote, Aminu Dantata, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, Sheikh Nasiru Gwaron Dutse, and other prominent and revered personalities.
This delegation should reach out to the two monarchs, aims at the providing a sulutions to the two Monarchs who  are  being manipulated by politicians seeking to exploit the situation for political gain and potentially destabilize the peace in Kano. The delegation’s objective should be to promote dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation between the two emirs Alhaji Sunusi Lamido and Aminu Ado Bayero to find a lasting solution to the emirship tussle. Neglecting to resolve the Kano Emirship crisis which most of the believe as minor crisis can undoubtedly set Kano aflame, an causing a great  harm and significant setbacks to the Progress and development of the State, hence resolving them is imperative for the betterment of the Kano people .
