It is more than a month now that all schools, colleges and universities have been closed due to the pandemic that the world is battling with. The world in distress, no one knows when this holiday will end, most right have been denied(freedom of movement), even, social and religious gathering have been prohibited to curtail the spread of Covid-19. The Nigerian students have been asked to stay home, stay safe to curtail the spread of this virus.

It’s absolutely necessary to let you know that, this is not the time to play, this is because you may not have this opportunity again. Don’t let procrastination distract you from reading your book and try your best to ensure that you you acquire at least a skill during this period. If you are battling with grammer, try and be reading different English textbook to broad your knowledge on grammer.

An adage says ‘an opportunity comes but once and any opportunity loss cannot be regain’, you stay home doing nothing thinking the time is wasting, but the bitter truth is that the time is not wasting, but, you are the one wasting your precious time, engaging in activities that will not be of benefit to you and will not increase your knowledge in your field or profession. Make use of this time judicially and judiciously and strive to engross in one thing or the
other during this time of Covid-19 pandemic, staying indoor cannot restrict you from using your time wisely.

Although, it is a little bit difficult to keep reading always during this indefinite holiday but strive hard to read at least last minutes of the day, because, idle hand is a devil workshop. Thus, the more you read the more you understand, learning any vocational skill is also reasonable thing that can keep you busy during this period, within the twinkle of an eye you’ve achieved alot before the end of this Covid-19 holiday.

Furthermore, the viral anthem of stay home, stay safe, cannot refrain you from acquiring more knowledge, fortunately, technology has made everything easier, and almost every vocational skills can be learn online, stay indoor and still gain alot because time waits for no body.

If you are a writer, this is the right time to improve your writing skill, if you are a student, this is the best period to cover the syllabus before resumption so that it would not be difficult for you after resuming back to school.

Participate in an online courses and webinar which is related to your profession, organize tutorials among your colleagues through the use of Whatsapp or Zoom app, this will surely build you and will make you achieve your aims and objectives.

On a final note, this is a precious time for you, do not misuse it by using all your time on social media everyday, without gaining anything. Try to acquire a vocational skill, this  will surely help you after graduation, without waiting for government job to survive. This holiday is indefinite and no one knows when it will end and that’s the reason we need to use this time to develop ourselves through the above suggestion that I have mentioned in the previous paragraphs.

May Almighty God protect us and our family from infection of Coronavirus and every other diseases and heal those that have been infected (Ameen). But try to remember that Coronavirus is real.
