BUHARI fight corruption

Corruption is a form of dishonesty or a criminal offense which is undertaken by a person or an organization which is entrusted in a position of authority, in order to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one’s personal gain.

Corruption in Nigeria is a constant phenomenon. In 2012, Nigeria was estimated to have lost over $400 billion to corruption since its independence. In 2021, the country ranked 154th in the 180 countries listed in Transparency International’s Corruption Index (with South Sudan, at 180th, being the most corrupt, and Denmark the least).

I’m not condemning our leaders, if this issue can be traced it background start from the educational sector where student commit a lot of atrocities. Even during Elections in tertiary institute, student kill each other for power, rigging of votes. No simplicity in any sector, lecturer’s failing student for not complying to have sex with him or her, secret cult, Examination malpractice etc.

This has polluted the mind of every citizen that corruption rules Nigeria,from considerable contract fraud at the top, through petty bribery,money laundering scheme, Corruption runs through every level of Nigerian government. My Mummy: Curbing corruption in Nigeria is going to be very hard because Nigeria has stained it identity with the blood of it citizen, agreed that in 1960, Nigeria gained it independence but has enslaved it self again through corruption.

In Nigeria, there is a very big gap between the rich and the poor. Due to this, there is space in politics for richer people to manipulate results and candidates.
