The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has directed all shortlisted applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise to validate the email addresses linked to their profiles.

The announcement, shared on Saturday through the Service’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, stressed that candidates who have progressed to the next stage must strictly adhere to the instructions.

“Henceforth, the Service will only communicate with shortlisted applicants strictly through their registered email addresses. No communication will be conducted through unofficial platforms or social media pages,” the NCS said.

The agency noted that some applicants had experienced issues receiving official updates and advised all shortlisted candidates to log into the Recruitment Portal via [http://updates.customs.gov.ng], using their registered NIN, to confirm and update their email addresses if necessary.

According to the Service, the date of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be sent exclusively via email. Only applicants with verified email addresses will receive test instructions, pre-test access links, and login credentials.

The NCS warned that failure to update email information could result in missing critical communication required to participate in the recruitment exercise.
