Day Ekrejegbe Stood Still For Late Deacon Chaplain Matthew Egodojerho Evwru Ovie

Late Deacon Chaplain Matthew Egodojerho Evwru Ovie was buried at his compound in Ekrejegbe town on August 15, 2020. His spiritual father Archbishop Prof. Solomon O. Gbakara attended his burial and preached from Hosea 13:14. Until his death in February 2020, he was a dedicated member of God’s Will Mission founded by Archbishop Prof. Solomon O. Gbakara.

Pa Matthew was born in 1935 into the families of Onoketa Ovie in Ekrogbe Street of Ekrejegbe town in Ughelli South L.G.A, while his mother named Office was from Dubrakpor Ekperuvwe-e of Ekrerhavwe town in Ughelli North L.G.A both in Delta State. He attended Ekakpamre Primary School in 1942, African Church Grammar School in 1949 and University of Benin in 1959.

He died on February 14, 2020 after a brief illness, survived by his wife and 8 children. He was 85 years old.
