Dear Senator, Are you deaf, Are you dead? -By Micheal A. Adeniyi

Amotekun

In 2007 when there was a deafening silence at the presidency, former president Olusegun Obasanjo called the then president, Umar Musa Yaradua of blessed memory who was in the hospital at the time to order in a call where he ask rhetorically, Umar, Umar, are you dead?
Well, there is a precedence to my caption, now let me run down to the reason I am asking this question, you will all agree that all the senators at the Nigerian senate are our representative and we elected them to the senate to pass into law bills that will be in the best interest of the society.
Do you know that each and every members of the NASS always go silence on matter of national discuss, debate and referendum that bothers on lawmaking? All of them except Senator Kazaure and Fmr Senator Dino Melaye. I saw a Senator, Sen. Boroface ask why South West governor are not carrying them along on Operation Amotekun in the red chambers and I shed tears for Nigeria. He now speaks as if he is not a Nigerian and does not come from the state where his governor is seeking protection for it’s own people. Or that he never heard of attacks by mauruder or have ever commented or sympathized with families of those murdered in his state or had joined in paying ransome to rescue a kidnapped constituent. He has even misrepresented his people by not submitting a bill on Operation Amotekun to be passed into law, a bill on restructuring, a bill on true federalism, yet he has the gut to challenge South West governors. Imagine!
My own Senator is also silent, he has security, maybe  he would say operation amotekun need no gun, but he has a maiguard with gun, he live in a secure Abuja mansion, he careless about his constituents, he will come again for my vote. I will need to show him ghost mode too and act dead to campaign. Dear Senators are you deaf, are you dead?
