Death of Alhaji. Ahmad Shehu Pantami: A Father To My Social Media Friend -By Salim Yakubu Akko

I pray may the Lord of Cosmos, Almighty Allah, grants him Jannatul Firdaus. And may the entire Gombe people and his family survive the pain of losing this ingenious man of noble characters.

The death of Alh. Ahmad Shehu Pantami, a kind-hearted middle-aged man, a fatherly figure, it’s inevitably a great saddening memory that will never be forgotten in the hearts of the entire dwellers of Gombe metropolis; Pantami to be precise.

He was a magnanimous man who believed in helping people in one way or the other; a man that promised to uplift the tumbling Nigeria from part of retrogression; and indeed, a business tycoon with extraordinary qualities that every society would proud to have.

Despite I never met him even for once in my life, the news of his demise intensely shocked me and makes me pitifully weep always. I could have not believed the news if not because of the verse in the Holy Qur’an that says: “From Him we are, the almighty Allah, and to him we shall go back”

I never for once want to write about loss; but this is a great loss that should not be forgotten in our hearts. 5th September, 2021, will always be a reminiscent of this great figure in our life.

My deep condolence to the entire Gombe metropolis, the family of Malam Shehu Pantami and to his daughter, Aishatu Ahmad Shehu(Jawaheer), a beautiful figure, who in happentance I met on social media.

I pray may the Lord of Cosmos, Almighty Allah, grants him Jannatul Firdaus. And may the entire Gombe people and his family survive the pain of losing this ingenious man of noble characters.
