VERDICT: FALSE

PLOT: A viral picture that shows the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi with the son of APC’s presidential candidate, Seyi Tinubu has sparked reactions and has got Netizens talking.

Along with circulating the picture, it was alluded that the Anambra former governor was in a meeting with the former Lagos governor’s son. Two pictures of Tinubu hung on the wall in the background, suggesting that the picture was taken recently with Tinubu as Nigeria’s president.

A first glance at the picture suggest that there could have been an actual encounter between the two but further review & research holds contrary result.

VERDICT: A forensic examination was conducted and it was discovered to be 100% fake as the figure on the left (Peter Obi) was super-imposed unto the original picture using the photo edit app ‘Photoshop’ or a similar software. Hence, the picture is FAKE.
