Diddy Reportedly Caught Drinking Homemade Alcohol in Prison After Claiming Sobriety
Sean “Diddy” Combs, serving time at Fort Dix prison, was reportedly caught drinking a homemade brew despite claiming sobriety before sentencing. His team denies the allegations.
Disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been caught drinking homemade alcohol behind bars — just weeks after telling a judge he was sober for the first time in 25 years.
Combs, 56, is currently serving a four-year sentence at Fort Dix prison for prostitution-related offenses.
Prior to his sentencing last month, the rapper and producer wrote an emotional letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, apologizing for his past behavior and attributing his downfall to alcohol and drug abuse.
“I literally lost my mind. I’m sorry for that and always will be,” he wrote. “I lost my way. My downfall was rooted in my selfishness. I have been humbled and broken to my core. The old me died in jail and a new version of me was born. Prison will change you or kill you — I choose to live.”
However, TMZ reported that Combs was recently caught sipping a homemade brew created by fermenting a mix of sugar, Fanta, and apples over two weeks.
When contacted, a prison official said they had “no information” on the alleged incident.
A representative for Combs told Page Six on Friday that he is still adjusting to prison life and focusing on personal growth.
“Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself, and doing better each day. As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there — most of them untrue,” the rep said. “We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt and the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”
Combs, who turned 56 on Tuesday, reportedly celebrated with pizza and has since taken a job in the prison laundry. His earliest projected release date is May 8, 2028, accounting for time served at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
