Early Marriage: A Deterrent To Unhealthy Affairs Out Of Wedlock -By Muhammad khalid Idris

I read quite lots of pieces of some individuals on facebook, some in support of the women’s early marriage, while few of the posters wrote against the status quo – every one of them has a perspective from which he analyzed the topic in question – most of them cited reasons which are personal experiences though, or from their own point of view, which are inappropriate to me.

Well, like I always said, as for me, it’s not always about a girl’s choice wether to be married off early or after acquiring a college-certificate when it comes to marriage. The first very reason behind early marriage is to protect one from having sexual affairs out of wedlock, but the ones amongst girls who aren’t tempted by the lures outside marriage institutions, if they prefer to remain unmarried in order to proceed with their education, it’s fine.

But in the same vein, there are women who dresses lusciously in the society because of their unhealthy excessive desires for male counterparts, should advisably be married off, even if getting married early isn’t a priority to them. 

No one will argue that women are better when given a proper education, but their excellent moral conduct is more important than any college-degree – it’s even improper for a sane person to put a university certification as only his requirement when looking for a spouse, moral values are the most important. 

Women have more powerful impact on the society than men, that’s why a single act of wrong from them draws attention more than men’s.

Therefore, we should be more concerned about a girl’s moral values being what qualifies her to be ripe enough for getting married or good enough to proceed with her education than just opinionating our stance on one-sided perspectives. 

A morally sound woman with an SSCE certificate will build a productive and responsible society per better than a PhD holder woman who’s not morally sound, which even care isn’t taken, she will just be a destructive element in the society, and will do more harm than good to the society.

I know that, some of those who promotes such ideologies of portraying early marriage as an injustice that’s done to the girls married off at that age, are doing it with purpose – some of them even call themselves muslims. 

My piece of advice to them is, they should be mindful of engaging themselves in such movements, if not, they would be used working tireless against their societies and religious values unknowingly.
