EFCC Chairman: How 17-year-old boy hacked my BVN, bank account with my phone number

Olanipekun Olukoyede, the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), described how a 17-year-old online scammer known as a “yahoo boy” used his cellphone number to access his bank account information and BVN.

In a video message to stakeholders on Thursday, Olukoyede revealed this.

The kid was apprehended by agents of the anti-graft agency, according to the EFCC chairman, who described how he was taken to his office to be questioned.

Olukoyede claimed to have seen the teenage hacker easily get around his locked computer’s security measures in front of his eyes.
