Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai, has submitted a petition to the Police Service Commission (PSC), seeking an independent review of complaints regarding the conduct of certain officers in the Kaduna State Police Command.

In the petition, El-Rufai emphasised that accountability within the police force is essential for sustaining public trust. He urged the PSC to exercise its regulatory authority to uphold discipline and professional standards.

The former governor disclosed that he had previously raised similar concerns with the Inspector-General of Police and called on the PSC to conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the allegations.

He further appealed for the review to be swift and transparent, stressing that such action would go a long way in strengthening public confidence in policing practices.
