Emefiele, Emefiele, the month of June is significant for you, gaskiya. On June 4th, 2014, you became the governor of CBN, the apex bank where you served until yesterday, Friday, June 9, 2023. I feel the urge to speak, but I won’t do so until the right time.

In the history of our beloved country, no suspended governor has ever made his way back to office, which means you might as well say goodbye to the bank. I’m not against you as a person, but I’m speaking for the people of this country. Gaskia, you have caused suffering to the people with your Naira redesign policies. As an economist, I believe you were well aware of the implications of your policies, but you allowed the people to suffer. Your name may be Godwin but your policies were not ‘Good win’ for us.

During that period, so many Nigerians were left stranded in different locations. Numerous businesses were affected, and the unnecessary hardship and hunger you inflicted on the people were unbearable. I don’t know how you managed to convince the former president to accept such policies, but I’m not surprised.

Whatever charges you’re facing may or may not be legitimate, but the court will decide. However, I know for sure that Tinubu might not prioritize fighting corruption, but you don’t need to worry. Tinubu is coming for all of you, one by one.

Please erase the idea of going back to office from your mind. Even the man you were asked to hand over to cannot be trusted. You people worked as a team, and I believe that when anything is wrong with the head, the whole body would be affected. To cut the long story short, the successor should be kept at arm’s length as the investigation unfolds.
