Man United beat Arsenal

Manchester United have shattered Arsenal’s perfect start to the Premier league season following a 3-1 victory on Sunday at the Old Trafford, thanks to Marco Rashford’s brace in the second half.

The Gunners looked to have broken the deadlock in the 12th minute through Gabriel Martinelli, but the goal was disallowed following a thorough review by the Video Assistant Referee, VAR.

Eric Ten Hag’s men dominated the first 10th minute of the first-half, but Michael Arteta’s side immediately turned the table, having kept themselves on top of the game before conceding against run of play from debutant Antony.

The Brazilian winger who was signed from Ajax last week, slotted in an immaculate pass from Rashford. The Gunners failed to draw level before the break.

However, Arsenal ensured the pressure paid off in the second half as they brought the game back to parity through Bukayo Saka after Martin Odegaard connected with Gabriel Jesus inside the box. Raphael Varane pressured  the Brazilian striker with a fierce challenge but unfortunately the ball fell close to Saka who slotted it home.

The Red Devils restored their lead at the 66th minute when Bruno Fernandes set up Marco Rashford with a through pass and the England international shot it past Aaron Ramsdale.
