FG to Expose Terrorism Sponsors Soon — Bwala
Presidential aide Daniel Bwala says the Tinubu administration will soon expose individuals and networks funding terrorism in Nigeria, adding that far-reaching national security decisions are underway and backed by growing international cooperation.
The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, says the Federal Government is set to unveil the individuals and networks responsible for financing terrorism in Nigeria.
Speaking during an interview on Television Continental (TVC) on Sunday, Bwala revealed that the administration is making “far-reaching decisions” on national security that will soon become clear to Nigerians.
He emphasised that terrorism has grown into a global threat that transcends national boundaries, making international cooperation essential in tackling its spread.
According to him, major world powers are increasingly recognising the importance of assisting countries like Nigeria, where extremist groups continue to attempt expanding their influence.
“Since the events of 9/11, terrorism has been treated as a global security issue. Any nation where terrorists operate becomes a concern to the rest of the world,” Bwala said.
“This is why international partners must continue to cooperate with Nigeria in our efforts to dismantle terrorist networks,” he added.
Bwala explained that extremist activities that were once concentrated in parts of the Middle East have increasingly shifted toward the Sahel region, creating dangerous new centres of insecurity that require stronger regional and global action.
He said the Tinubu administration is intensifying efforts to counter the threat domestically and will soon expose those financing or aiding terror operations.
“At home, the government is making decisive interventions. In the coming days, Nigerians will know who the terrorists are and those funding them,” he said.
