Four Dead, Two Injured as Cement Trailer Crushes Tricycle in Delta
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. and involved a trailer belonging to a cement company, which collided with a tricycle before toppling over it.
Tragedy struck near the Second Niger Bridge in Asaba, Delta State, yesterday, when a trailer loaded with cement lost control and fell on a tricycle, killing four people and injuring two others.

According to eyewitnesses, the injured were quickly rushed to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving medical attention.
Confirming the incident, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Delta State, Mr. Frederick Ogidan, attributed the crash to overspeeding.
“It happened towards the Second Niger Bridge,” Ogidan said. “The trailer collided with the tricycle and fell on it. Three of the victims died on the spot, and another died later at the hospital.”
He further explained that the victims included both tricycle passengers and individuals aboard the trailer.
Ogidan added that two people were successfully rescued from the wreckage and are being treated for their injuries.
