Fubara Disengages Cabinet Members After Supreme Court Ruling
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has formally disengaged his cabinet following a Supreme Court ruling, commending former officials for their service and urging support for President Tinubu on Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has officially disengaged members of his cabinet, expressing appreciation for their service and contributions to the state’s development over the past two years.
The affected officials include Commissioners and other public officers whose appointments were recently nullified by the Supreme Court, effectively bringing their tenure to an end.
Speaking at a valedictory session held at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, Fubara lauded the dedication of his former cabinet members.
The Governor, who was suspended during the State of Emergency imposed on Rivers by President Bola Tinubu, stressed the importance of national unity and urged Nigerians to support the President in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous country.
Reaffirming his commitment to serve Rivers people with renewed energy, Fubara thanked citizens for their unwavering support and extended his best wishes to all Nigerians on the Independence Anniversary.
