Gov. Adeleke appoints 29 permanent secretaries, demands loyalty

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke on Tuesday, charged the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries to be loyal to his administration, warning that he would not hesitate to apply sanction for acts of disloyalty.

Adeleke also directed the State Head of Service, Leye Aina, to ensure effective monitoring of the new Permanent Secretaries for compliance with the implementation of his 5-point Action Plan.

The Governor gave the charge during the inauguration of the new Permanent Secretaries at the state secretariat, Abere.

Adeleke who said the appointment of the new PS followed due process, added that his administration took into cognisance seniority, geographical spread, competence, cadres, and character before appointing them.

He said, “In your various MDAs, you are representatives of the Governor and invariably of the people. Therefore you must stand tall and be exemplary examples. You must be loyal to the administration and must be wholly committed to the implementation of the 5-point Action Plan of our government.

“I have directed the Head of Service who is your direct boss to ensure effective monitoring of your activities and compliance with the implementation of the Action Plan of our government. I believe that he will not have reasons to report negatively about any of you.
