Governor Alia Commiserates with Senator Abba Moro Over Tragic Loss of Son and Grandson

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has extended his condolences to the Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, following the heartbreaking deaths of his son, Victor Moro, and grandson, Abba Moro Jnr.

The governor’s message of condolence was conveyed in a statement released on Tuesday in Makurdi by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Tersoo Kula.

Governor Alia described the loss of two family members within 24 hours as a painful and devastating tragedy, noting that such an event would deeply affect anyone with a sense of humanity.

“Anyone who believes in humanity will be touched by this double tragedy,” the governor stated, urging Senator Moro, his family, and the people of Benue South to find comfort in accepting the will of God, who gives and takes life.

He prayed for eternal rest for the departed souls and for divine strength to help the family bear the irreplaceable losses.

According to reports, Victor Moro, who had just completed his studies in Turkey, recently returned to Nigeria to commence his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

Tragically, he lost his life in a car accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State, barely 24 hours after the burial of his father’s grandson, Abba Moro Jnr.
