Truly, yester-night’s rain came with heavy storm. The incidence wrecked havoc in Ilorin. It turned many to homeless beings, removed roofs, damaged properties and belongings and took many lives. All the way, Alhamdulilah. This moment, people needs yours and mine prayers. Not only that, this is the right time to serve humanity; time to do selfless services. Let’s extend our helping hands to the needy and poor, affected individuals and the victims.

There are divergent ways by which Almighty Allah can use to punish His servants. Many weapons are there with Him, unknown to all creatures. In the sacred book, we are advised by Allah to look into our doings whenever anything bad happens to us. But, majority turn deaf ears. Yesterday’s wind was indescribable. No one can really say how it went. So, this is the right time for us to think, reflect and ponder on our life. Let’s remember our purpose of existence.

Unfortunately, many among us had left, for a long time, his/her primary assignment in this material world. We take the task with trivial hands. And, take the secondary work more important. In this world, atrocities of different kinds are committed. Sins become our integral part. Haram remains our intakes; drinking, eating, dressing, buying, selling and other activities.

Also, our surroundings; right and left, up and down and front and back are overwhelmed with big crime, huge vices and great offences.  These are prohibitions from our creator. And undeniably today they are inseparable flesh in our body. We keep doing what we are refrained from. We derive pleasure and pleased with illegal acts.

Lastly, the incidence had became a life experience for us; a clear example testifying to  the Almighty’s power. So, let’s take lessons from what has happened and live according to the will, order, command and law of our Creator. May the Almighty Allah have mercy upon us and may He continues to save us from any sort of calamity and disaster.
