Homosexuality In Our Society: The Problem And Possible Solution -By Naseer Tijjani

Published

on

I had spent many wakeful nights worrying myself about the way and manner children are being treated in our society. The problem, needless to say, is known to every reasonable person. I made it clear right from the outset that children are blessings from the Almighty and equally a source of pleasure to some parents.

The issue of eradicating homosexuality is outside my responsibility alone. I, in fact, can only write to draw our attention. There is nothing I could do, outside of hoping things would get better soon. Guess what? There is no excuse for such behaviour. Evidently, some things are better left unsaid with the exception of above topic. However, I will not regret to say that anyone that engages himself in this act is a typical animal.

In the first place, if anyone is to blame, it’s parents for they care not to know where their children spend their nights. These children ended up sleeping in the neighbouring houses. What do you think is going to happen there? Young children are usually egocentric because they haven’t learnt other forms of behaviour. Therefore, they can easily be deceived.

Apparently, it is often said that show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. Friends have been listed among the agents of socialization as they have strong influence over one another more especially at early age of development. It goes from bad to worse if children are left in the care of friends.

Children should be mendated to sleep at home. It is the responsibility of parents to arrange for their children at all levels. Rooms should be made available for the two sexes( male and female) and equally a great care is needed when choosing where children will sleep.

Parents should be vigilant and watchful on who is befriending their children. It is better for them to leave alone and friendless than friending a wicked boy/ man.
