Hope is a Lifter -By Tife Owolabi
My hope lies in the future – in my children, wards, and citizens daring to make a difference. Together, we’ll change the narrative of incompetent and self-centered leaders across tribes and tongues.
Call me a split nation, a sinking country, or a people teetering on the brink. But amidst the chaos, I see a glimmer of hope – a silver lining on the horizon.
I am Nigeria, battered but unbroken. Beaten, yet unshaken. I shall rise again, if only I don’t give up.
At 64, I’m a grandpa, yet vibrant as a toddler. Not by choice, but due to poor managers who fail to harness my potential.
My hope lies in the future – in my children, wards, and citizens daring to make a difference. Together, we’ll change the narrative of incompetent and self-centered leaders across tribes and tongues.
I am a resilient being, endowed by nature to shine. And shine I shall!
I am NIGERIA, the Giant of Africa!
Happy Independence Day! Good People, Great Nation.
