Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy posted this on his X account yesterday, attributing it to Nigeria’s former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon.
The statement read;
Igbos should forgive me. I would like to confess before I die. Death has refused to come for me; my long life is no longer a gift but an agony caused by my wickedness towards Biafran children,” Gowon said on his deathbed.
“I never meant to fight the Igbos, but the British Queen and international powers were pressuring me. I have come to hate life, and the gift of death has refused to arrive.”
