IGP Deploys Olumuyiwa Adejobi as Deputy Commissioner of Operations, Delta Police Command

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the deployment of the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations at the Delta State Police Command.

In a statement shared on the Nigeria Police Force’s X handle on Wednesday, Adejobi stated that the posting reflects the Force leadership’s confidence in his “extensive experience, professionalism, and ability to enhance operational strategies within the Command.”

Adejobi’s deployment comes amid increased public scrutiny of policing in Delta State, following recent criticisms of misconduct by officers in the region.

The IGP commended Adejobi for his “outstanding performance” as Force PRO, citing his dedication, professionalism, and key role in improving the police’s public image and communication.

He expressed confidence that Adejobi would bring the same level of commitment and excellence to his new assignment.

Adejobi, who previously served as the 25th indigenous Force PRO, was initially appointed in an acting capacity, succeeding CP Frank Mba, who proceeded to the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.
